Views and export
View modes
Section titled “View modes”The same tasks can be shown in different ways. Use the view switcher in the toolbar to change. Each board remembers the view it was last left in.
The classic kanban layout: columns side by side, with task cards stacked in each. Drag cards between columns and drag columns to reorder them. This is the default.
A compact grid of task cards. Use View Column to show tasks from one column or All Columns. Grid view is useful for scanning a large number of tasks, or on a small screen.
Freeform (coming soon)
Section titled “Freeform (coming soon)”A canvas where columns can be placed anywhere, alongside sticky notes, shapes, text and arrows connecting them, with zoom and pan controls for large boards. It’s shown as Coming soon in the view switcher.
Replaying the tutorial
Section titled “Replaying the tutorial”Select Replay Tutorial in the toolbar to walk through the board’s guided tour again. It shows you the columns, how to set up pull request columns, view modes and sharing.
Exporting a board
Section titled “Exporting a board”Export a snapshot of the board to drop into a report, slide deck or client update.
- Export as PNG: an image of the board as it looks now.
- Export as PDF: the same snapshot as a PDF.
Both buttons are in the toolbar. The export shows exactly what’s on screen, so apply any filters first if you only want part of the board.
Light and dark mode
Section titled “Light and dark mode”GH Planner follows your device’s light or dark setting automatically.
