The task page

Every task has its own page. Open it by selecting a task card and then opening the full view. It brings the task and its pull request together so you can understand and act on the work in one place.

The main panel shows:

  • Description, Status, Column, Labels and Progress (checklist)
  • People: who created the task (Task owner) and who it’s assigned to
  • Created and Updated dates
  • Activity: a history of what’s happened to the task
  • Quick Actions: Copy task link and Share this task

Select Back to Planner to return to the board.

When a task has a linked PR, the GitHub Pull Request panel shows live information from GitHub:

Section What you’ll see
Header PR title, number, author, state (Open, Draft, Merged or Closed) and View GitHub PR link
Branches The source branch and the branch it’s merging into
CLI A ready-to-copy gh pr checkout <number> command. Click it to copy, then paste it into your terminal to check out the branch.
Stats Commits, files changed, lines added and lines removed
Status Checks The combined CI result and each check run, with links to the details
Files Every changed file with its additions and deletions, linking to the file on GitHub
Reviews The latest review from each reviewer and whether they approved or requested changes

If the panel says Unable to load PR information, the PR may be private to an account you haven’t connected, or the link may be wrong. See Troubleshooting.

If no PR is linked you’ll see No GitHub PR linked. Edit the task to add one.

Contributor Signals gives a quick, automatic picture of the PR author’s history in the repository, such as how many PRs they’ve merged. Top PR Contributors shows who else has been most active. These help reviewers judge how much context the author is likely to have.

The Discussion section is where your team talks about the task. When the task has a linked PR, the discussion box is also where you approve, request changes, close or merge. See Reviewing pull requests and Comments.
